With five ISO 15378 certified production facilities globally, SGD Pharma ensures a robust international supply chain framework.
We are seeking a Pharma Packaging Senior Product Manager to be based in Paris La Défense.
Core Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Director of Product Management and Innovation, the Pharma Packaging Senior Product Manager will play a pivotal role in meeting the revenue and margin targets outlined in the strategic business plan. This position entails overseeing the existing product portfolio within the segment, innovating new products, processes, and services to attract a continuous influx of new clients and business prospects, while also driving profitable growth. The development and execution of strategic and operational marketing plans will be essential.
Key Functions:
Strategic Marketing
- Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to formulate and propose growth strategies across various regions, including product positioning, pricing strategies, and defining the commercial plan alongside sales objectives.
- Oversee the product range management, ensuring profitable growth while devising marketing and implementation strategies for the product range or market on a global scale.
- Outline the product portfolio evolution strategy across all regions, executing product range extensions and rationalizations in collaboration with the project team.
- Provide marketing and new product strategies for respective markets, along with corresponding new product plans for the emerging product range.
Innovation
- Recognize and anticipate customer and market needs, contributing to the innovation pipeline in partnership with R&D within the innovation management committee.
- Prepare investment expenditure requests and profitability assessments to support operational initiatives.
- Ensure that all necessary deliverables are provided promptly during the new product development process to facilitate successful market launches.
Operational Marketing
- Oversee the product launch process: develop and implement a launch strategy, define a communication plan, articulate the value proposition, and equip sales teams with effective product expertise tools. Facilitate client presentations, conduct client visits, gather feedback, and implement corrective measures as needed.
- Equip the sales team with essential tools and knowledge to enhance efficiency and communicate the value proposition effectively.
Communication
- Develop and execute a public relations strategy (including participation in conferences) to bolster SGD Pharma's brand visibility, encompassing presentations.
- Serve as a spokesperson and influencer within Official Professional Organizations to advocate for the SGD Pharma brand.
The Pharma Packaging Product Manager will collaborate closely with Market Intelligence, Communication, R&D, Quality, Finance teams, as well as Sales and Operations teams. While the role does not involve direct management responsibilities, it will also support business development initiatives.
Candidate Profile:
• BAC+5 in Engineering or Business School or equivalent
• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Product Manager in primary (or secondary) packaging, specifically in glass or other materials, within a packaging firm, an advertiser, or a filling machine supplier.
• Proficient in an industrial/B2B environment, with a solid technical understanding of key issues.
• Experience in companies recognized for their quality standards, rigor, and professionalism.
• Strong analytical capabilities (financial performance/data), adept at gathering information and translating it into actionable recommendations.
• Business acumen with a developed sensitivity to product and marketing dynamics.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative, and comfortable working across various departments.
• Ability to persuade, advocate for projects, and lead multidisciplinary teams effectively.
• High adaptability.
• International experience or cultural sensitivity.
• Fluent in English (assessed during interviews).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
