Position Overview

The Inside Sales Account Manager plays a crucial role in engaging with clients, fostering relationships that lead to increased sales.

Product Portfolio

You will be responsible for selling a range of products including Molecular Biology, Cell Culture, Cellular Analysis (Microscopy, Cytometry), and Protein Biology, specifically under the Invitrogen and Applied Biosystems brands. This encompasses both reagents and instruments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue sales opportunities with both new and existing clients to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Enhance and maintain the customer database using the company's CRM software and manage sales processes for designated accounts.
  • Manage and close sales leads generated by the Marketing and Technical Support teams.
  • Communicate regularly about successes, challenges, and best practices to improve team and organizational efficiency.
  • Engage with research scientists to understand their needs, share product insights, and create compelling sales presentations.
  • Participate in training sessions, marketing initiatives, and special projects to enhance sales skills.
  • Maintain regular contact with customers via remote communication (Teams, email, phone) for 80% of your time, with 20% dedicated to face-to-face interactions (booths, meetings, demonstrations).
  • Prepare quotations in accordance with company guidelines to drive revenue.
  • Provide sales forecasts for your territory to support business planning.

Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD in Life Sciences is required.
  • Sales-oriented mindset with a strong motivation to achieve targets.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated positive attitude and a strong desire to succeed.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) or similar applications.
  • Fluent in both French and English.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to thrive in a high-performance team environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable to a constantly changing business landscape.
  • Previous experience in sales or customer-facing roles within the Life Sciences sector is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining reliable communication.
