Role Overview

The Inside Sales Account Manager is primarily responsible for establishing and nurturing customer relationships, which are essential for driving sales growth.

Product Portfolio

You will be selling a range of products including Molecular Biology, Cell Culture, Cellular Analysis (Microscopy, Cytometry), and Protein Biology under the Invitrogen and Applied Biosystems brands. This encompasses both reagents and instruments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue sales opportunities with both new and existing clients to meet or exceed the designated sales targets.
  • Enhance and maintain the customer database using the company's CRM software and manage sales processes for your assigned accounts.
  • Follow up on sales leads generated by the Marketing and Technical Support teams.
  • Communicate regularly (both verbally and in writing) about successes, challenges, and best practices to enhance team performance and efficiency.
  • Engage with research scientists to understand their needs, provide product information, and create compelling sales presentations.
  • Participate in training sessions, marketing initiatives, and special projects to develop effective sales techniques.
  • Maintain consistent communication with customers through remote channels (Teams, email, phone) for 80% of your time, with 20% dedicated to face-to-face interactions (events, meetings, demonstrations).
  • Prepare quotations in accordance with company guidelines to drive revenue.
  • Provide sales forecasts for your territory to support business insights.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A Master’s or PhD in Life Sciences is required.
  • Strong sales orientation with a motivation to achieve targets.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated positive attitude and a strong desire to succeed.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) or similar tools.
  • Fluency in both French and English is essential.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to thrive in a high-performance team environment.
  • Exhibits flexibility in adapting to a constantly changing business landscape.
  • Previous experience in sales or customer-facing roles within the Life Sciences sector is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining reliable communication.
