As a key member of Suez Recycling and Valorization Trading's Business Services Division, reporting directly to the Plastic Sales Director, your primary responsibility will be to promote plastic materials and cultivate commercial purchasing strategies aligned with the company's business objectives.

Your role will involve managing a diverse client portfolio focused on downstream marketing, primarily within France but also extending across Europe.

You will serve as the national point of contact for both technical and commercial support to sales teams, particularly in relation to tenders for business and municipal markets. Additionally, you will spearhead commercial action plans as a plastic specialist at the national level.


Main Responsibilities:

Expertise in Valorization:

  • Implementing the established national purchasing strategy and collaborating with regional teams;
  • Contributing to the development of valorization initiatives and assisting in the formulation and oversight of agency action plans;
  • Offering expertise to sales teams and sorting facilities to prepare market-ready materials that align with production capabilities and customer demand;
  • Actively working to enhance agency profit margins;

Commercial Activities:

  • Ensuring the effective sale of plastic materials in accordance with the company's commercial strategy;
  • Managing your client portfolio to drive revenue growth aligned with sales objectives;
  • Negotiating pricing with both suppliers and clients;
  • Acting as the liaison between Trading Customer Service and Clients to optimize supply chain flows;
  • Addressing disputes and issues (from clients and suppliers) while monitoring customer balances and payment terms;
  • Identifying and exploring new channels for recycled materials (both nationally and internationally);

Collaborative Efforts:

  • Partnering with the Customer Service Manager to enhance the capabilities of back-office teams in business and commerce;
  • Co-managing weekly and monthly commercial updates and market insights;
  • Providing monthly updates on the plastic market in collaboration with Customer Service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the commercial margins generated through various activities;
  • Complying with internal procedures (contractual and regulatory);
  • Facilitating effective communication and knowledge sharing;
  • Utilizing and maintaining commercial tools provided by the company;
  • Negotiating the purchase and sale of plastic materials;
YOUR PROFILE

  • A graduate engineer or equivalent with extensive knowledge of plastics and the mechanical and chemical recycling processes of polymers;
  • Self-motivated, inquisitive, organized, and results-driven with strong written communication skills;
  • Capable of building quality relationships, a good listener, and persuasive in fostering constructive client relations;
  • An experienced negotiator and proactive in seeking new opportunities, with a proven track record in sales and/or trading of recycled plastics for a minimum of 5 years;
  • Proficiency in English is essential.
