Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies that drive growth in specific categories and subcategories, aligning with consumer, shopper, and customer needs.
- Monitor and evaluate all category-related activities to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Identify performance gaps and propose actionable plans to achieve annual operating plan (AOP) targets.
- Collaborate with the Brand and Marketing teams to devise category strategies tailored to various channels, utilizing insights from consumers and shoppers.
- Establish clear promotional guidelines based on market knowledge and shopper behavior, ensuring thorough evaluation of promotional investments.
- Create strategic space management plans for categories, focusing on effective space allocation and management.
- Formulate winning plans to sustain category growth in alignment with sales objectives, ensuring monthly trade support coordination.
- Partner with the Brand and Marketing teams to design in-store communication and below-the-line (BTL) marketing plans that support initial marketing initiatives.
- Lead monthly meetings focused on category performance and strategy execution.
- Communicate all plans effectively to field sales teams, ensuring regular updates on performance metrics.
- Collaborate with sales teams to gather feedback and insights on market dynamics and customer preferences.
- Conduct monthly reviews of category performance, analyzing metrics such as volume, distribution, and market penetration.
- Address additional requests to support business objectives as needed.
- Mentor and develop direct reports to enhance team capabilities.
- Undertake other responsibilities as assigned by the Category Development Manager.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of trade and go-to-market processes.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, with a proactive and results-driven approach.
- Proficient in English for both verbal and written communication.
- Bachelor's degree in economics or a related field.
