Join Airbus Defence and Space in Secure Land Communications (PSS) entity as a Field Support Engineer, a key member of the team in Slovakia, Europe. This role is based in Bratislava, Slovakia.
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Support Engineer to support the technical progress of our system support according to the contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of tools and processes, managing the customer claims database, and supporting the follow-up of claims, correction, validation, and delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Support the technical progress of the system support according to the contract
- Assist in the implementation of tools and processes
- Manage the customer claims database
- Support the follow-up of claims, correction, validation, and delivery
- Validate technical responses to customers
- Develop summaries and internal/external reports regularly
- Participate in the technical preparation of Roll Out operations
- Establish and monitor procedures related to tests for commissioning, integration, and operation on start-up
- Support the provision of feedback information related to difficulties in implementing procedures and propose solutions
- Assist in controlling and monitoring the functional compatibility of different sub-assemblies
- Monitor the hardware and software technical state of equipment to be installed
- Support the management of installation and archiving of software installed on-site
- Contribute to the evolution of Roll Out, documentation referential in the process gate, and integration
- Support the solutions proposed: raising cases to level 3 support if necessary, drafting or customizing technical bulletins, planning the corrections introduction, and participating in the training required for the customer or local team
- Follow up on Technical Support operations
- Participate in the hotline 24/7, initializing, coordinating, and supporting migration and upgrade activities
- Draft and respect protocol documents applying to On-Site Assessment & Training (OSAT)
- Contribute to the scheduling of equipment installation with subcontractors
- Contribute to technical assistance to installation technicians and subcontractors
- Carry out integration tests for new equipment or FAT/System acceptance with customers
- Transfer network monitoring to customer support during commissioning or run-in of the system
- Support the development of corrective plans in the case of non-conformities
- Take into account the customer's system from a technical point of view
- Provide technical assistance if necessary: deploying new products, releases, extensions
- Contribute to monthly reviews for prioritization and customer's main issues
- Support the guarantee of validation of platform steps before roll-out on field
- Graduate with first experience in integration of TETRA telecommunication systems gained, also welcome
- Required field of education: Telecommunications Engineer
- Slovak native speaker and good knowledge of English language
- Strong internal and external interpersonal skills
- Mobility (travel frequently, mainly in Slovakia)
- Driving Licence B, active driver
- Able to handle changing and often tense contexts
- Availability
- Methodical and autonomous personality
- Closely attention to detail
- Already gained experience in on-site operations, welcome but not mandatory
