We are seeking a proactive, hands-on, and highly driven Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead our skilled AP team. Reporting directly to the Controlling Manager, you will be instrumental in maintaining precise financial records, preparing reports, and reconciling accounts. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the accounts payable processes and ensuring timely vendor payments. You will also ensure the accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, reconciliations, and reporting for a specific scope.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the Accounts Payable team effectively.
- Oversee the complete accounts payable process, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and execution.
- Guarantee timely and precise payments to vendors and suppliers.
- Prepare and analyze monthly reports related to your scope (AP reports including Aging, KPIs, and reconciliations).
- Maintain and update accounts payable records diligently.
- Ensure the closing process for the Accounts Payable area is accurate and timely.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and audits.
- Contribute to the preparation of budgets and forecasts for accounts payable.
- Uphold procedures and internal controls to mitigate fraud and errors.
- Manage and maintain vendor master data for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure compliance with company policies.
- Participate in or lead projects that impact the accounting function.
- Manage relevant software, including accrual software and T&E tools.
- Train and develop AP team members, setting performance goals and conducting evaluations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- At least 5 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines while working under pressure.
- Attention to detail and accuracy is crucial.
- Experience in process improvement and implementing best practices.
- Ability to analyze financial data and provide insights and recommendations.
