Job Title/Function: Project Engineer Coordinator Department: International Broadcast Centre (IBC) & Broadcast Structures Reports to: IBC Project Manager Grade: Coordinator Type of Contract: Fixed TermObjective
The Project Engineer Coordinator plays a crucial role in assisting the Project Manager, IBC Implementation Team, and Design Team by delivering technical and practical planning support throughout the lifecycle of the FIFA World Cup 2026 IBC project. This position is accountable for crafting comprehensive project plans, evaluating and analyzing designs submitted by vendors, and resolving technical challenges while ensuring adherence to local safety and quality standards. Key responsibilities include collaborating with vendors and cross-functional teams to promote effective planning and timely completion of project deliverables, assessing vendor submissions and proposals to ensure efficient system operations, and confirming that all project activities comply with local regulations. By managing these components, the Project Engineer Coordinator guarantees that technical specifications are fulfilled and contributes to the successful and compliant execution of the project.
Core Responsibilities
Collaborate with Project Administrators, cross-functional teams, and external vendors to devise and implement solutions that improve project efficiency. Work alongside the Project Manager, Design Team, and external vendors to review and provide technical insights, as well as resolve issues to facilitate project-related approvals, installations, commissioning, and qualifications. Assist in procurement processes by reviewing vendor proposals, designs, estimates, and related materials associated with Request for Proposals (RFPs). Contribute to the proposal and/or evaluation of new concepts and methods to enhance production, efficiency, product quality, and cost-effectiveness. Conduct site visits and inspections to assess work in progress. Maintain comprehensive documentation for projects, including specifications, submittals, designs, and schedules. Participate in regularly scheduled coordination meetings, review design and construction documents, and provide recommendations accordingly. Coordinate with the Project Management Team to monitor and track potential scope changes, ensuring all change management is communicated to the relevant departments. Oversee site progress for quality control and compliance with plans and specifications agreed upon with vendors.Required Skills and Qualifications
A combination of training, education, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of this position, including:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field A minimum of three to five years of work experience in project engineering or related fields Strong technical knowledge of HVAC Systems Familiarity with Chilled Water systems is advantageous Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit Experience in project development and implementation on large-scale projects Skilled in applying problem-solving techniques and analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel Strong multi-tasking abilities Field experience EPA 608 Certification and/or NATE Certification are advantageous Valid driver's licenseKey Interactions
