Director of Sales for International Leisure Sales

As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding existing business through promotional efforts and sales channels. You will work closely with the Group Director of Sales to develop and implement sales strategies that meet the needs of our customers and drive revenue growth.
Main Responsibilities:- Monitor and oversee the sales team to ensure they are meeting their sales targets and providing excellent customer service.
- Develop and implement sales action plans to meet business objectives and drive revenue growth.
- Manage top-producing accounts and ensure that client visitations and entertainment targets are met.
- Update relevant systems with client information, production, and sales activities.
- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Handle daily sales operations and ensure that all customer requirements are met.
- Evaluate market trends and recommend sales action plans to increase production.
- Assist the Group Director of Sales with the production of annual sales plans, hotel budgets, and departmental performance plans.
- Advise the Group Director of Sales on sales progress and booking trends.
- Responsibility for the Leisure industry segment.
- Attend overseas sales trips and road shows as required.
- Establish measurable quality objectives and participate in their review.
- Provide coaching, counseling, and discipline to colleagues to ensure they meet customer needs.
- Determine necessary competence for colleagues and provide relevant training.
- Monitor Leisure incentive programs and ensure all departments are briefed on their roles and responsibilities.
- Achieve and exceed budgeted room nights and revenue goals annually.
- Utilize the marketing plan to uncover new and potential business.
- Ensure accuracy in forecasting revenues with the most up-to-date information.
- Assist Sales/Catering/Convention services in obtaining customer information and closing business.
- Participate in daily/weekly Revenue meetings, sales strategy meetings, and pre-convention meetings.
- Knowledge of the local market.
- Knowledge of the hospitality industry.
- A passion for sales and target-based performance.
- Relevant degree in sales, business development, or other relevant business field.
- Positive attitude and good communication skills.
- Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service.
- Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate a team.
- Strong analytical skills to understand key business indicators and competitive trends.
- Excellent selling capabilities and the ability to coach selling techniques.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Excellent grooming standards.
- Flexibility to respond to different work situations.
- Ability to work well under time pressure and demanding travel schedules.
- Demonstrated previous experience in a Director of Sales role with the proven ability to close a sale.
