As part of our expanding initiatives, Dailymotion aims to strengthen its Partner Solutions Team. You will be instrumental in establishing the foundational elements of our product and developing cutting-edge features in close collaboration with Front-End Developers, Designers, and Scrum Masters.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and nurture a team of Development Engineers through recruitment, feedback, and hands-on career advancement. Foster a healthy, collaborative engineering culture focused on delivering business value. Oversee the workload and project assignments of direct reports and engage in company-wide staffing processes. Advocate for agile software development practices and help cultivate excellent engineering and organizational standards. Collaborate closely with other engineering and product managers to understand the context of incoming requirements, shape solutions, and translate product needs into actionable projects. Regular interaction with engineering managers from related teams will be essential to optimize our use cases and enhance efficiency. Ensure timely project delivery by reviewing, directing, and guiding the work of engineers, either directly or through senior engineers. Enhance team productivity by driving the technical vision of the core platform that supports all our use cases. Participate in defining and delivering the roadmap and contribute to strategic company decisions.Required Qualifications
You should be a technical leader capable of grasping the intricate details of projects. Previous experience as a manager or team lead, ideally within a development engineering context, is essential. You can challenge and elevate your team members: you can question technical designs and project timelines, promote experimentation, and uphold quality standards. You are capable of articulating and presenting a compelling vision/roadmap for your team. You have a successful engineering background and are adept at delivering projects even when requirements are vague (testing, delivery, maintenance, refactoring, bug fixing): you possess a systems-oriented mindset that understands how all components fit together. Deliver high-quality, tested code punctually using industry-standard best practices that meet all product and technical specifications. You can engage with various business segments (product, data) and multiple stakeholders (engineers, infrastructure, product managers, devops, etc.). Show a genuine enthusiasm for technology by consistently suggesting improvements (better code, faster delivery, easier maintenance, etc.). Proficient in written and verbal English (documentation, team presentations, meetings). Strong communication skills - able to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with web development, web architecture, HTTP, JSON/RPC, REST API. Experience with collaborative software engineering methodologies: agile development, continuous delivery, code review/pairing, unit testing, etc. Knowledge of microservices architecture. Experience with modern front-end development frameworks (React/Preact or similar). Demonstrated interest in problem-solving and technical innovation.Additional Skills
Understanding of either Python or PHP. Experience with JavaScript SDK development. Familiarity with SQL databases (MySQL). Experience with continuous integration, continuous deployment testing, and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins) and Docker.
