About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal QA Engineer - Pricing Integration Specialist to join our team at Amadeus. As a key member of our Pricing Integration & Orchestration department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our pricing integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a functional and technical lead responsible for defining and spreading best practices around QA methodology among the Pricing Integration & Orchestration organization.
  • Conduct technical discussions with internal development partners to understand their designs and intended output.
  • Take a leading role in the technical implementation of the test strategy, leveraging your strong IT and business understanding.
Main Accountabilities
  • Proficient in technical knowledge to ensure the team performs at a high level, recognized as a leader in your area and may formally train Specialists/Senior Specialists.
  • Understand how main business drivers may impact your area, able to assess complex problems with broad impact on the activity, improve processes, recommend solutions and risk mitigation plans, and communicate complex information.
  • Work with a high level of autonomy, based on management directions, leading projects or contributing to broad cross-functional projects, and may contribute to planning of resources and budget.
Technical Excellence
  • Master QA methodology.
  • Analyze, write, and execute test standards and procedures for complex/cross-functional solutions.
  • Document, analyze root cause, and recommend corrective actions for defects.
  • Master QA tools, environments, and test automation solutions.
Functional Excellence
  • Hold a proficient product domain knowledge, including relevant business processes and scenarios, and a proficient understanding of customer needs.
  • Lead customer triages/debug sessions and help the team with reproducing the problem in-house.
Drive Continuous and Sustainable Improvement
  • Participate in internal/external forums and lead department-wise discussions around QA methodology/framework/tooling evolution.
  • Strive to maintain very high-quality standards for Amadeus products.
  • Contribute to patents and technical events in the QA area.
  • Propose relevant KPIs and ways of measuring them efficiently, for software deliverables and test/production maintenance.
  • Ensure adoption and improvement of testing tools & environments: promote existing ones to avoid duplication, evaluate them, and recommend improvements.
  • Participate in the understanding, measurement, and reduction of the environmental impact of the tested applications and associated QA activities.
Building Relations & Knowledge Sharing
  • Coach, mentor, and train less experienced QA Engineers, Software Development Engineers, and Product Definition Analysts on quality assurance skills and professionalization.
  • Actively participate in the construction, maintenance, and deployment of the on-boarding of newcomers.
  • Provide consulting on test automation issues, testing tools, QA processes, and functional test coverage.
  • Attend Quality and Principal QA Engineer community events.
About Our Ideal Candidate
  • Experience with Test Management Tools (e.g., Octane).
  • Experience with testing tools (e.g., Robot framework, TTS, Postman).
  • A knowledge of different programming languages, such as Python and other scripting languages.
  • University degree in Computer Science.
  • ISTQB Certification.
  • Advanced knowledge of Gitlab.
  • A solid understanding of software development methodologies, such as agile, SAFE, Scrum, or Kanban, and the role of QA in each development phase.
  • A proficiency in various testing tools/frameworks and techniques, such as manual testing, automated testing, unit testing, integration testing, system testing, regression testing, functional testing, non-functional testing, user acceptance testing, etc.
  • Fluent in English.
