OVERVIEW OF KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Achieves an annual Revenue target by upselling and cross-selling Sage products and Services to existing customers and through new customer acquisitions
2. Manage the pipeline of sales opportunities throughout the sales process to secure the business
3. Reviews customer information to identify suitable customers to engage and makes telephone contact as an Account Manager to review the scope of the products and services they hold with Sage, to identify potential need for additional products and services and with a view to securing a face to face meeting (or webinar if necessary due to geographical practicalities)
4. Adapts the contact strategy for customers within their allocated accounts according to needs and sales potential. Achieves the required number of contacts per week as outlined in the business targets
5. In preparation for customer meetings, completes a review of the customer’s existing relationship with Sage and uses information from initial conversations to produce and tailor customer specification presentations
6. Leads face to face customer meetings to deliver customer specification presentations and discuss needs and opportunities in more depth. Uses the meeting to scope out all of the requirements so that a formal quote may be produced
7. Delivers tailored product demonstrations for customers during meetings to demonstrate value and gain commitment
8. Engages with colleagues at multiple levels within the customer organisation to understand needs from a user perspective and also secure business with decision makers
9. Produces customer quotes along with supporting information and presents these to the customer business for initial approval and progression
10. Follows-up with customers to drive decisions on quotes provided and secure the business, leading follow-up meetings and presentations as required
11. Oversees the handover of all sales to the implementation team to ensure that the final solution provided meets the agreed specification for both parties
12. Responds to customer enquiries in relation to changes in pricing, billing schedules, contract changes and product suitability
