Mode Executive is supporting a luxury fragrance house in the appointment of a Global Sales Director. This brand is internationally distributed, creatively driven, and positioned at the high end of the niche and luxury fragrance market, with strong ambitions for global growth and long-term brand equity.Fluency in French and English is essentialPlease note: The flexibility to be hired on a self-employed contractor basis is required, with monthly payment via invoice. The contract will be on a rolling long-term basis, this is not an interim role. The role is based in Paris and reports directly to the executive leadership team. The Global Sales Director will operate at a global level, overseeing international sales performance across all regions and channels, while working closely with internal stakeholders to support sustainable expansion.The RoleDefine and execute the global sales strategy in line with the brand's positioning, values, and growth objectivesOwn global revenue targets, forecasting, and commercial performance across all international marketsLead and develop sales across EMEA, and Asia-Pacific, managing distributors and key strategic accountsIdentify new market opportunities and expansion strategies while maintaining selective and controlled distributionNegotiate commercial agreements with distributors, retailers, and partners, ensuring alignment with luxury standardsOversee multi-channel distribution, including niche perfumery, department stores, travel retail, and e-commerce partnershipsBuild, lead, and mentor an international sales team, setting clear KPIs and driving performanceWork closely with marketing, brand, and product teams to support launches, activations, and global initiativesProvide market insights, competitive analysis, and strategic recommendations to senior leadershipRequirementsSignificant international sales leadership experience within luxury fragrance or beautyProven track record managing global distributors and key accounts across multiple regionsStrong understanding of selective distribution and luxury brand developmentStrategic, commercially driven, and hands-on leadership styleExcellent negotiation and relationship management skillsExperience working in entrepreneurial or high-growth environmentsFluency in French and English is essential; additional languages are advantageousFlexibility to travel internationally on a regular basisThe flexibility to be hired on a self-employed contractor basisPlease note: Due to the volume of applications, we are unable to provide individual feedback at this stage.
