Job Description

We are currently looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Portfolio Sales and Marketing team in looking after our 12 Strata Hotels across Australia and New Zealand. This role is Sydney, NSW based and you will have the flexibility to work at 3 of our Sydney Strata hotels, Sydney Corporate Office as well as remotely. 

The primary focus of the Business Development Manager - HMA Strata role is on 
expanding corporate and meeting and events segments driving revenue growth within 
the HMA Strata Portfolio. This is achieved through the management of key accounts 
while actively seeking new business opportunities to increase revenue for corporate 
and meeting and events segments. Collaboration with the HMA Strata Sales team is 
essential to efficiently follow up on leads and ensure all potential business avenues 
are explored.

The Business Development Manager in conjunction with the Director of Sales – HMA Strata
are responsible for managing key and local accounts and new business development 
for all unmanaged accounts across corporate, inbound and meeting and events 
segments within the Strata Portfolio. This role works in tandem with the Sales Executive 
HMA Strata to ensure all leads and potential business is followed up efficiently.


Qualifications

• Qualification in Travel & Tourism, Marketing or Business
• Experience in business development and securing new business
• Experience in negotiation within hotel sales 
• Understanding of the Hotels property management system an advantage
• Demonstrated ability to meet revenue targets
• An ability to understand and navigate stakeholder environments
• Strong focus and passion for hotel operations
• Sound understanding of emerging trends in the industry
• Confident and articulate communication, negotiation, relationship, and 
networking skills
• Demonstrated business acumen with the ability to make sound decisions and 
understand commercial implications
• Entrepreneurial spirit with drive, ambition, and high level of energy
• Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with all levels
• Flexible and able to embrace and respond effectively to change
• Role model in Accor values and Heartist culture
