Being a service director in
FOSS France means leading a team of highly skilled and experienced service engineers specialized in some of the most exciting technologies like NIR, FTIR, X-Ray and Flow Cytometry with a team drive to deliver beyond customer expectations – whether being remote support, on-site scheduled maintenance, ad hoc urgent support, or other customer service need that arise.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Service Director to lead our Service Business in France.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in service management, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for excellence.

You will be leading a team of in total 20 skilled and dedicated people (service engineers, application specialist, service coordinator and team leaders), who strive to provide a world class service to our customers on a daily basis.

Reporting to the VP for Service, EMEA, you will be part of the local
FOSS France senior management team including the Managing Director and the Financial Controller, who you will work in close partnership with, regarding the day-to-day business.

You will also interact with our Innovation Center and headquarters in Denmark.
Key Responsibilities
The Service Director will be responsible to lead the Service Business in France. This role involves overseeing service operations, ensuring high customer satisfaction, driving employee engagement, standardizing processes, and delivering continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in service management, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for excellence.

We aim to meet our customers' needs for global analytics by providing fast and customer focused installation, preventive maintenance, and breakdown services.

To do so, you will be required to effectively lead our Service operations, be a strategic thinker and a highly customer focused individual.

Further, you will be collaborating daily with cross functional teams such as the sales and administrative organizations.

You will monitor and fulfill various Service KPI's, as well asensure that service orders in CRM are processed and completed in a timely and accurate manner.

Last but not least, we expect you to be an inspiring manager, leading & motivating your team, and continuously improving your team's competences.

What you bring to the table

You thrive in motivating your team to exceed the expectations of customers and the other stakeholders around you and come with at least 5 years' management experience and experience leading a service team.

You have a high level of structure and work systematically to achieve results: you know how to navigate a complex organization where a balance should be found between employee andcustomer satisfaction, and the continued efficiency of your team.

You possess a strong business understanding and a proven track record of optimizing organizations and driving results.

You know how to communicate clearly with customers, employees, and managers on different levels in a technical environment, and have a technical "hands on" attitude, which is key for this role.

You are driven toward customer satisfaction, without compromising business objectives.

People describe you as a strong leader who is able to develop staff and work in collaboration with colleagues at all levels, with a demonstrated ability to manage teams through inspirational leadership.

You speak and write French and English on a high level.

We expect your educational background to be a bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration or a related field, but your experience and your values / attitude is more important.
