You’ll be joining a global, elite Hedge Fund as their sole support person in their Paris office, covering 1st-3rd level support issues for up to 35 end users, including Traders.
Not only will you get the variety of the level of support you provide, but you’ll also get the variety from a technical perspective, as you’ll be the sole onsite support engineer, solving a range of technical problems across software, hardware, user accounts, operating systems and telephony/ messaging.
The ability to operate independently is key based on the standalone nature of the position. You will of course be a part of a larger, global support network but you'll be the key POC to the French region.
The ability to communicate and lead end users through their technical issues from start to finish is key, as is the ability to communicate with front office stakeholders i.e. traders. You will need to have worked in a similar financial services environment i.e. investment management, capital markets etc.
You'll also need strong automation experience, ideally using PowerShell and you’ll be able to suggest new technologies for service improvements, so keeping an ear to the ground on new technologies and exploring new options will also be part of your role.
- Self-employed contractor, flexible daily rate on offer in the range of €800 - €1000 per day.
- 12 months contract
- Fully on-site - 5 days in office
- Excellent communication skills speaking both French & English
