Key Responsibilities

As part of a global restructuring initiative, we are establishing a new Group Operational Excellence Department aimed at enhancing both top-line and bottom-line performance across our stores. This will be achieved through ongoing enhancements in in-store execution, leveraging both internal insights and external innovations, while also supporting new openings and revitalizing underperforming operations to ensure profitable growth.

This newly formed department will consist of four specialized teams:


• Store Solutions

• Local Supply Chain, Loss Prevention, and Cross-Functional Project Management

• Operational Quality Assurance

• Indirect Procurement

The Store Solutions team is tasked with delivering comprehensive solutions to operations and disseminating best practices to promote continuous operational improvement and performance enhancement. The scope of this role encompasses a variety of topics, including innovative checkout systems, autonomous retail environments, energy efficiency initiatives, and staff network tools. This list will be dynamic, evolving with emerging needs and opportunities, and we expect the Operational Excellence Projects Manager to contribute fresh ideas to this list.

Primary Duties

The Operational Excellence Projects Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of strategic initiatives, coordinating these projects from inception to execution across all 40 countries within the Group.

In this capacity, the responsibilities include:

Providing project management oversight for assigned initiatives: organizing project teams, coordinating with various stakeholders at both the country and headquarters levels. The project portfolio will evolve, and the Operational Excellence Projects Manager is expected to proactively adapt their projects and responsibilities.Creating all necessary documentation for project rollout: best practices, guidelines, training materials, webinars, and executive summaries aimed at senior management.Monitoring and documenting qualitative and quantitative outcomes post-implementation: establishing robust benchmarks and sharing operational best practices to drive continuous improvement across all regions.Supporting countries in the daily operational execution of projects, adopting a hands-on, field-oriented approach.Actively participating in the LEaP and future STARS program initiatives: preparing documentation and presentations for project teams, organizing webinars and operational events, and contributing to the development of a new internal recognition program.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Management or Engineering and should have:

A minimum of 5 years of professional experience.Experience in areas such as Operations, Strategy, Project Management, or Finance.

While ideally based in Levallois-Perret (Paris area), other European locations may be considered.

Proficiency in project management principles (organization, coordination, prioritization, etc.) and Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel and PowerPoint) is essential. Strong analytical skills and fluency in both English and French (spoken and written) are required.

The candidate should have a passion for challenges and be recognized for their adaptability, curiosity, and versatility. Autonomy, decision-making capabilities, and the ability to handle unexpected situations are crucial.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects while delivering ambitious results, along with strong anticipation, organizational, and prioritization skills, is expected. A keen interest in operations and a hands-on approach are also important.

Excellent synthesis skills (both oral and written) and strong communication and interpersonal abilities are essential.
