Overview:

The Ville de Besançon is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Municipal Police Service Unit Manager within its Public Safety and Peace Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee both administrative and operational functions of the unit
  • Develop and maintain activity monitoring dashboards
  • Address inquiries and correspondence from the public
  • Supervise parking enforcement and traffic management
  • Conduct road safety checks and speed monitoring
  • Oversee public events, fairs, and market activities
  • Recommend security protocols for various events
  • Ensure adherence to municipal laws and regulations
  • Monitor pedestrian and public transport safety
  • Build and maintain community relations
  • Supervise surveillance operations for municipal properties and public spaces
  • Participate in weekly on-call duties
  • Manage video surveillance systems
