Overview:

The Ville de Besançon is seeking two qualified individuals for the role of Municipal Police Service Chief within its Public Safety and Peace Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee both administrative and operational functions of the unit
  • Develop and maintain activity tracking dashboards
  • Address inquiries and correspondence from the public
  • Supervise parking enforcement and traffic management
  • Execute road safety and speed monitoring operations
  • Regulate fairs, markets, and public space usage
  • Recommend security protocols for community events
  • Ensure adherence to municipal policies and regulations
  • Conduct surveillance of pedestrian areas and public transport
  • Build and maintain community relations
  • Oversee monitoring of municipal properties and public spaces
  • Participate in weekly on-call duties
  • Engage in video surveillance activities
