About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Renewables Performance Manager in our Europe Operations entity. This role will be based in Paris or Europe, with occasional travel to other European locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support PPA Development: Assist in the development of Corporate Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) across our portfolio, tracking activities and progress.
  • Manage PPA Pipeline: Oversee the PPA pipeline across our portfolio, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
  • Support Countries: Collaborate with countries to construct detailed business cases for PPA development.
  • Review and Update PPAs: Conduct thorough reviews of all PPAs, participate in governance updates, and proactively share best practices within Europe.
  • Prepare Committee Meetings: Prepare and coordinate the preparation of documents for EU and RGBU Commitment Committees/Excom to approve transactions.
  • Transaction Evaluation and Execution: Provide critical support on all aspects of transaction evaluation and execution, including risk assessment and reward allocation.
  • Build Relationships: Establish and maintain relationships with intermediaries, advisers, and internal counterparts to ensure smooth transaction execution.
  • PPA Price Modeling: Develop internal models to understand and challenge PPA prices, creating a library of internal and external price references.
  • Business and Operational Synergies: Identify and help mitigate business and operational risks, participating in risk assessment activities.
  • PPA Community Management: Animate the community of PPA managers in Europe, sharing best practices and organizing webinars and annual seminars.
  • Deal Process Support: Assist in deal process and negotiation preparation, including strategy development and document drafting.
  • Battery Development Support: Collaborate with the Business Development team and other ENGIE entities to assess opportunities across Europe and contribute to battery development.
  • Fleet Performance Monitoring: Closely follow up performance of the EU Renewables portfolio, actively monitoring maintenance contracts and country strategies.
  • Other Missions: Coordinate with operational entities to foster best practices sharing, disseminate studies and expertise, and realize benchmarking/strategic studies.
Team and Work Environment

The Renewables Operations Europe entity works in close cooperation with RGBU Operational Support, Europe support functions, and European countries. The role will be a direct report to the VP of Europe Operations, with no management responsibilities.

Required Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Identifying Business Opportunities: Strong negotiation techniques on Corporate PPAs and market knowledge of the European energy market.
  • Autonomy and Collaboration: Autonomous individual capable of taking initiative, with strong team player skills and motivation to share ideas and collaborate.
  • Language Skills: English proficiency is a requirement, with knowledge of French, German, Spanish, and Italian a plus.
