With a diverse team of 35 nationalities and offices in Paris, London, New York, Tokyo, Milan, Cologne, Atlanta, and Montréal, Akur8's solution is international by design, servicing more than 250 clients across 4 continents, targeting all non-life insurance carriers, focusing on mature markets for faster expansion.

As part of our expanding Sales team, you will focus on developing Akur8's footprint with Large Accounts and Mid-Market across Spain and Latin America.

Your primary objective will be to identify and prospect leads to generate new pipeline, pitching the value of Akur8, leading POCs (Proof of Concept), and signing new deals in your territory.

You will leverage your previous commercial experience to close business both independently and with local sales partners.

This will include:

  • Owning your territory and associated quota
  • Identifying new opportunities in Spain & Latam, exploring every segment and lines of business of your territory
  • Pitching and negotiating with various stakeholders (Technical Directors, Procurement, Senior Management)
  • Working on and submitting proposals, negotiating contracts with clients
  • Building strong, long-lasting relationships with strategic prospects and clients, identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities
  • Thinking out of the box, suggesting new ideas and approaches to improve our product based on client expectations

You will be based in our Paris office, with potential travel required for business development events in the region.

We are looking for a top performer with 6+ years of experience in complex B2B sales and a strong aptitude for technology, eager to grow their knowledge in SaaS, actuarial science, and machine learning.

Ideal candidates have a passion for entrepreneurship and perhaps experience working at a startup.

To be considered, you must meet the following criteria:

  • 6+ years of experience in complex B2B sales as an Account Manager, Sales Executive, or Customer Success Manager – experience in a SaaS company or insurance space is a plus
  • Familiarity with sales protocols and SaaS company processes, use of CRMs (bonus points for Salesforce experience), Slack communication, multi-team interactions, good self-management skills, efficiency, and task prioritization ability
  • 'Hunter' mindset, researching potential customers, agility, and adaptability to sell a rapidly evolving product offering
  • Level-headedness to project manage smaller (~90K) and larger (200K - 300K) contracts, excellent presentation skills to navigate medium to long sales cycles
  • Proven expertise in business development and mastering sales strategies for complex deep-tech SaaS products, defining tailored closing plans for each opportunity, proactive actions to drive success
  • Ability to work individually and collaboratively with peers and other teams (marketing, partnerships, technical teams)
  • Native Spanish speaker, excellent communication skills, oral, written, or non-verbal, Fluent English mandatory
  • Proactive, dynamic, curious, eager to learn, action-oriented, motivated toward achieving the sales target, and interest in Akur8 as a company and its solutions
  • Any additional languages a definite bonus
