Position Overview: The Procurement Director, Business Partnering collaborates closely with the organization to address all Procurement & Packaging Engineering requirements. You will lead the regional Business Partnering team, ensuring effective strategy execution and goal attainment through robust team leadership and performance development. You will coordinate with Business Partners and oversee demand coordination activities to ensure procurement effectiveness. Your role will also involve implementing sourcing strategies, deploying P2P processes in alignment with business needs, and fostering collaboration with Supply Management, Sustainable Procurement, and Operational Procurement teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning & Targets: Serve as the primary contact and work closely with business leaders to establish and agree on objectives and delivery plans. Define and secure consensus on the long-term Procurement strategy.
  • Primary Contact for VP - GSC: Execute, represent, and oversee procurement activities within the region.
  • Business Strategy Translation: Transform business strategies into actionable procurement plans, providing guidance and support.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with business stakeholders, communicate effectively, and deliver financial outcomes.
  • Category Strategy Planning: Gain insights into business demand and specifications, driving strategic demand assessment.
  • Sourcing Strategy Development: Evaluate, create, and support sourcing opportunities in collaboration with Supply Management and Business Partners.
  • Project Implementation: Identify demand opportunities, assist in implementing sourcing outcomes, and provide relevant information to BIC stakeholders.
  • Business Alignment: Ensure alignment of packaging engineering with business objectives, including costing and profitability management.
  • Initiative Development: Create new initiatives to support BIC's procurement, packaging engineering, and sustainability objectives while managing existing programs.
  • Collaboration with Teams and Suppliers: Work closely with procurement teams and suppliers to ensure alignment with corporate goals.
  • Sourcing Sustainability Support: Ensure commitment from all stakeholders to the company's sustainability initiatives.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks in collaboration with procurement teams.
  • Primary Contact for Designated Functions: Act as the main point of contact for specific business functions as necessary.
  • Understanding Procurement Activities: Be knowledgeable about all Procurement and Packaging Engineering activities in the region.
  • Strategic Project Leadership: Drive the successful implementation of strategic projects.
  • Regional Visibility Creation: Develop regional visibility through dashboards and KPIs for the VP of Procurement and Packaging Engineering.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in a leadership role within procurement.
  • Proven experience in project pipeline validation with business and financial analysis.
  • Collaboration with Supply Management on SRM Strategy, Supplier selection, Buying channel strategy, Demand profiles, Sourcing recommendations, Sustainability, and Risk mitigation.
  • Knowledge of packaging concepts, development, and cost management.
  • Expertise in Business Partnering metrics such as Demand Management, Vendor performance, Cost savings, and Compliance.
  • Strong understanding of strategic and tactical procurement processes, including tendering, RFI, RFP, and Supplier Relationship Management.
  • Experience in sustainable procurement practices.
  • Ability to work with People/HR KPIs.
  • Innovation metrics experience.
  • Business background in collaboration with various functions including Innovation, Marketing, and Finance.
  • Experience managing external suppliers and consultants.
  • Knowledge of engineering and procurement categories.
  • Understanding of packaging, engineering, design, and sustainable procurement concepts.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • Demonstrated leadership and strategic thinking capabilities.
