Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Associate to join our team at Mövenpick Resort Phan Thiet. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their stay with us is memorable and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Register and room all arrivals according to established procedures
  • Maintain intimate knowledge of departmental standards and procedures
  • Perform check-in, check-out, and room change procedures, ensuring all data are entered completely into the hotel systems in accordance with reservations
  • Maintain cashier float and ensure accurate daily report of all money received
  • Cash hotel guests' personal and travelers checks and assist with currency exchange
  • Keep abreast of all modifications to accounting policies and procedures
  • Responsible and attend to guests' requests for using the service of safety boxes at all times
  • Knowledgeable of all special promotion procedures, for programs such as Seasonal Packages, Frequent Flyers Programs, and Accor Loyalty programs
  • Attend to guests' complaints, inquiries, and requests, referring problems to supervisor/Duty Manager if unable to assist
  • Familiar with other Accor hotels, enabling guests indicating any next destination on the registration card to be 'sold' an onward booking to another Accor hotel
  • Do everything possible to ensure that guests depart the hotel with a positive impression of hotel service
  • Perform audit balances and prepare all works for audit in an orderly fashion
  • When on night shift, check night report, prepare the morning report, and prepare all necessary forms for guest arrival
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of standard reservation procedures, including correct forms to use, how to read fax, e-mail, messages, and how to interpret availability sources within the reservation systems
  • Maintain exemplary department standards of behavior and appearance and attitude as expected in a Novotel
  • Takes personal interest and pride to ensure that the front desk work area is kept clean and in an orderly state at all times
  • Endeavors to maintain the high standards of the hotel, with particular regard to the importance of ALL members and other VIPs, and with reference to hotel and to be a health or safety hazard
  • Conversant with emergency evacuation and fire procedures for relevant department
  • Perform any other task assigned based on the hotel needs or requirements

Requirements

  • High School or Vocational Certificate in Hotel Administration, Hotel Management, or equivalent
  • Minimum 1-year experience in guest/customer service, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees, and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand, and the Company
  • Able to read and write English
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and OPERA
