Overview
AWS is on the lookout for an exceptional sales leader to oversee our international customer partnerships with some of the most significant Energy corporations globally.


Role Responsibilities
The Strategic Global Account Executive will take charge of leading and managing international accounts across selected business divisions. Your role will involve establishing and nurturing critical relationships, identifying and managing opportunities, overseeing deployment initiatives, and collaborating with virtual teams.

You will craft CXO engagement strategies within the account, which includes liaising with AWS's senior leadership for executive sponsorships, coordinating high-level business reviews, and ensuring customer satisfaction.


About AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services
This division is dedicated to driving revenue, adoption, and growth from a diverse range of accounts, from small and mid-market enterprises to large-scale public sector clients.


Key Responsibilities
The Strategic Global Account Executive will collaborate with the customer's IT department to forge strategic relationships throughout the account, presenting a clear vision and generating enthusiasm across all business sectors.

Your role will involve selling at the highest strategic level within the account and executing a comprehensive strategy to gain customer acceptance and implement services.

You will engage with all relevant AWS resources (Executives, Solution Architects, Business Development, Marketing, Partners, Support, Service teams, and Professional Services) to advocate for customer interests. This includes indirect responsibility for downstream sales and technical resources that may be spread across various locations.


Development of Case Studies
Creating formal case studies and other reference materials that showcase activities and workloads operating on AWS is a fundamental aspect of this role.

Basic Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in a technology company as the primary account and relationship manager for a large global organization.
  • Knowledge of the Energy Industry.
  • Experience with Cloud Solutions.
  • Fluency in English and French; Spanish is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as the lead account manager for a global federated enterprise, working across multiple business units and influencing governance and policy.
  • BA or BS degree in computer science, engineering, business, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record in negotiating large complex deals and establishing credibility with senior executives across organizations.
  • Strong understanding of AWS and/or technology as a service (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS) is preferred but not mandatory.
