Daily Responsibilities

We are in search of a dedicated Account Manager to enhance our sales team within the Steam Turbine & Generator service sector at Siemens Energy. As a vital member of a dynamic group, you will oversee multiple accounts within your designated area, identify and cultivate sales prospects to drive profitable growth, and ensure client satisfaction with Siemens Energy's offerings.

The Steam Turbines & Generator (STG) division in France serves over 100 clients across power generation, industrial, and oil & gas sectors.

This role is highly collaborative and demands exceptional interpersonal and business acumen. It is not a managerial role.

  • Establish enduring relationships with assigned clients in the industrial and utility sectors by strategically planning and organizing visits based on both external and internal requirements.
  • Formulate strategies and sales plans to enhance both short-term and long-term order intake for your assigned clients.
  • Prepare quotations, incorporating both commercial and technical elements with support from technical experts.
  • Conduct commercial negotiations with clients, collaborating with the legal department to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
  • Maintain an updated CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tool.
  • Provide insights via CRM for forecasting, planning, and win-loss analysis.
  • Identify and secure new business prospects with assigned clients, such as modernizations or upgrades.
  • Manage specific projects within the agreed timeline and budget for your designated clients.
  • Communicate and collaborate with our factories and service centers.
  • Estimated travel commitment: 20 to 40%.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales and front-end sales.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience with rotating equipment is advantageous.
  • Fluency in French and English is essential, with strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with clients, management, and team members.
  • Proficiency in German is a plus.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset.
  • Adaptability, creativity, and an open-minded approach.
