Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an Account Executive to lead the current and future implementation of AWS services within the Enterprise market segment.

The AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) team is dedicated to driving revenue, adoption, and growth across a diverse range of customers, from small and mid-market accounts to large enterprise clients, including those in the public sector.

Enterprises face unique challenges due to their scale and the need for transformation to continuously create new value propositions, enhance competitive capabilities, adapt processes, and improve customer experiences.

As the AWS Energy & Utilities Account Executive, you will take on the responsibility of providing strategic leadership and management for this account.

Your role will involve establishing and nurturing key relationships, identifying and managing opportunities, collaborating with partners, overseeing project deployments, and engaging with both virtual and global resources.

You will formulate a strategy for engaging with CXOs within the account, which includes working with AWS senior leadership for executive sponsorship, coordinating executive business reviews, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

We are looking for a passionate, innovative, and customer-oriented leader. This position requires significant experience in managing large accounts, a solid technical background, and exceptional communication skills.

You should be adept at collaborating with various autonomous technology and business groups one day and presenting to an Executive Committee the next.

The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter, ready to explore innovative integration opportunities under tight deadlines, work with AWS service teams to promote the adoption of AWS services, and engage with cutting-edge AWS technologies.

You will be responsible for all customer and subsidiary relationships in France and will influence them when they are located abroad. Your duties will include identifying the business and technology challenges faced by customers, along with strategic initiatives, and designing, building, and executing an Account Plan in collaboration with the customer that includes Simple, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Time-bound outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all customer or Business Units/affiliates for large clients and influence international subsidiaries.
  • Develop a transformational vision and execution model aligned with the customer's challenges and desired outcomes.
  • Collaborate with technology teams and business groups to drive further adoption of AWS products.
  • Engage AWS general managers, product management, and senior leadership to meet the needs of the customer's teams.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Own and implement a long-term focused sales strategy.
  • Lead a cross-functional account team (including Solution Architect, Technical Account Manager, Inside Sales, etc.) to exceed customer expectations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with top executives and sponsors to ensure alignment with the customer's strategic goals.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience working at a technology company as the lead account and relationship manager for large organizations.
  • Experience leading virtual and local account teams and developing relationships at all levels.
  • A strong understanding of cloud computing (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS), its benefits, and its impact on enterprise transformation.
  • Good knowledge and experience in the Energy & Utility industry.
  • Fluency in French and English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree in computer science, engineering, business, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in large complex deal negotiations with a successful track record of establishing credibility quickly with senior-level executives.
  • Strong understanding of AWS and/or technology as a service (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS).
