Technical Team Leader - Case Management
Location: Paris, France

The Case Management division offers a comprehensive interface for monitoring issues within customer systems, facilitating task prioritization, assignment, bulk actions, customizable views, and seamless integration with third-party ITSM solutions. With Datadog's Case Management product, clients can assign and monitor their work items directly within the Datadog platform, ensuring all data is centralized for efficient issue resolution without the need for context switching.

This product also plays a crucial role in accelerating Datadog's time to market for new offerings that align with evolving engineering methodologies. It serves as a structured work tracking platform that enhances user experiences across various products.

As the Technical Team Leader for the Case Management group, you will mentor and guide your team in developing the services and user experiences that drive these functionalities. You will foster a nurturing environment that empowers your team to excel and promotes collaborative product development across engineering teams and departments. This role presents a significant opportunity to influence the growth of the Case Management product and the team's progress while contributing to the advancement of associated products such as Security Monitoring, Cloud Cost Monitoring, and Error Tracking within Datadog's ecosystem.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 6 engineers, enhancing their skills and supporting their career trajectories.
  2. Collaborate with your team, product manager, and stakeholders to define priorities and establish a strategic roadmap.
  3. Cultivate a culture of teamwork and cross-departmental collaboration, motivating other Datadog product engineering teams to leverage Case Management.
  4. Effectively communicate team performance, productivity, and achievements to senior management.
  5. Oversee the complete development lifecycle and operational management of our systems.
  6. Engage technically with the team by facilitating architectural discussions, reviewing RFCs and pull requests, and occasionally contributing code yourself.
Qualifications:
  1. Proven experience in engineering management with a strong commitment to fostering a positive team culture.
  2. Background in environments that prioritize reliability and security, including managing on-call responsibilities and operating live services.
  3. Strong communication and collaboration skills with other teams and stakeholders.
  4. Familiarity with the product lifecycle and enjoyment in working across product and organizational boundaries.
  5. Experience in building and maintaining scalable systems.
