Position Overview

IFS is seeking a driven and resilient sales professional with exceptional collaboration and execution capabilities to enhance and solidify our Aerospace and Defense (A&D) operations across France. As a member of the IFS Global Aerospace & Defence team, you will play a vital role within the South Europe Market Unit.

Recognized globally as a premier provider of enterprise software tailored for the A&D sector, we offer comprehensive solutions in:

  • Aerospace and defense manufacturing

  • Fleet and asset management
  • Military logistics
  • Service and performance-based logistics

In this role, you will be responsible for both nurturing existing relationships and pursuing new opportunities within a targeted list of strategic Aerospace & Defense accounts. Your entrepreneurial spirit will be key as you build a robust sales pipeline and drive opportunities to closure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate strong sales execution while continuously refining your skills.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement the Go-To-Market Strategy for the A&D sector.
  • Create and uphold a Territory Plan specific to the vertical.
  • Formulate an Account Plan that includes deal action cards, mutual evaluation plans, and power maps for designated accounts.
  • Oversee the complete sales process, from demand generation to understanding customer needs, managing the RFI/RFP process, and constructing a compelling business case for change.
  • Collaborate with partners to enhance account penetration, devising joint sales initiatives that expedite deal cycles and maximize value while ensuring strong delivery plans for satisfied, referenceable clients.
  • Assume full accountability for achieving annual sales targets and meeting quarterly budget expectations.
  • Engage in ongoing pipeline development and demand generation efforts to secure 4x pipeline coverage.
  • Coordinate with Sales leadership and Global teams to cultivate a robust internal network and foster collaboration.
  • Maintain meticulous CRM and account hygiene, ensuring accurate forecasting through diligent sales cadence, administration, and reporting.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Proven experience in selling complex business software solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex sales processes at the C-level with major clients.
  • Track record of navigating complex transactions and lengthy sales cycles in a fast-paced, consultative environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Aerospace & Defense or Public Administration sectors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
  • Adept at working within a matrixed organization, building relationships, and securing support to achieve objectives.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in enterprise software sales, ideally within a related industry.
  • Degree in Engineering or experience in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering.
  • Background in a military organization or defense ministry.
  • Understanding of manufacturing and/or Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) processes.
