Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven District Sales Executive to join our team at Expeditors International. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing an assigned territory and driving business growth through exceptional customer service and sales skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage an assigned territory and develop a deep understanding of potential customers and competitors in this area.
  • Timely data entry in our Customer Relationship Management tool to ensure accurate and up-to-date customer information.
  • Collaborate with regional Product, Service, Geo, and Knowledge Management resources to orchestrate customer/branch relationships and create value-added solutions for customer's logistics needs.
  • Participate in the creation of customized logistics solutions, including supporting diagrams and cost-benefit calculations, to meet customer's specific requirements.
  • Support the transition of new accounts through customer introductions, information transfer, and securing necessary customer paperwork, as well as supporting AR (accounts receivable) collection when needed.
  • Attend training & development sessions to continue developing selling skills and updating Expeditors Product and Service knowledge.
  • Involvement in local trade groups, as directed by the District Sales Manager, to stay informed about industry trends and best practices.
  • Take on additional assignments as required, supporting company needs and contributing to the growth and success of Expeditors International.
Requirements
  • Ability to meet with customers off-site on a regular basis, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Oral and written proficiency in the English language, with a strong focus on customer service and relationship-building.
