About the Role

The Regional Sales Director GMS will be responsible for managing a team of Sales Managers, ensuring the successful implementation of sales strategies, and driving business growth in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coach a team of Sales Managers, setting and achieving sales targets, and providing training and development opportunities.
  • Develop and implement a business plan for the region, aligning with the company's overall strategy.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of national and regional agreements, negotiate product placement on key accounts, and drive commercial policy development.
  • Define and implement sales action plans in retail outlets, ensuring their successful execution by the sales team.
  • Drive sustainable growth in sales volumes, improve profitability through analysis of performance indicators, and report regularly to senior management.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of commercial experience, including at least 5 years of experience as a Sales Manager, followed by at least 1 year of experience as a Category Manager in the FMCG industry, and at least 1 year of experience in regional or national sales negotiations.

The candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, listening, and empathy skills, as well as strong leadership abilities to motivate and engage the sales team.

They will also have strong analytical and organizational skills, with a focus on commercial and negotiation skills.
