POSITION SUMMARY

Oversee team members in resolving payment issues (e.g., difficulties with credit card transactions). Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction regarding service-related matters. Manage the check-in process for all guests by verifying reservations, assigning accommodations, and issuing room keys. Handle various payment methods including room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit. Establish accurate accounts for each guest upon arrival (i.e., shared rooms, separate charges for room/tax/incidentals, complimentary services). Anticipate high-demand situations and secure satisfactory alternative arrangements when the property is unable to accommodate guests with confirmed reservations. Reserve rooms in the system and identify specific requirements and requests. Liaise with relevant departments (e.g., Bell Services, Housekeeping) as needed to address guest inquiries, requests, or issues. Collaborate with Housekeeping to monitor room readiness for check-in. Review shift logs and daily memos, documenting essential information in logbooks. Count cash drawer at the start and end of shifts. Reconcile and deposit receipts in accordance with accounting guidelines.

Support management in recruiting, training, scheduling, assessing, counseling, and motivating team members; act as a role model and primary contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process. Report incidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management; complete safety training and certifications. Adhere to all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional; maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Anticipate and respond to guests' service needs. Communicate with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately; answer phones with appropriate etiquette. Foster and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues. Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of relevant work experience.

Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required.

License or Certification: None
