About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and guest-centric Front Desk Hospitality Agent to join our team at Sonder. This is a seasonal role that will run from July to September 2024.



Responsibilities


  • Be the face of Sonder, making a positive impression on our guests, visitors, and internal and external partners.
  • Guide guests through the Sonder experience, ensuring they can make the most of their stay and use our technology features.
  • Receive and respond to guest calls, SMS, and live chats, providing immediate support from the Front Desk.
  • Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accuracy, and timeliness, accommodating special requests whenever possible, resolving customer complaints, and assisting customers with inquiries related to services, facility hours of operation, directions, and more.
  • Assist building leadership with administrative tasks to keep all operations running smoothly.
  • Flex to support the back-of-house/Hospitality Agent team as needed, performing housekeeping quality audits, inventory checks, minor maintenance, and technology issues.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of both guest-facing and back-of-house working spaces, including lobbies, offices, storage closets, warehouses, and other areas.
  • Support multiple Sonder properties throughout the local market as required.
  • Note: This role requires regular overnight shifts, for which a rate premium is paid, with varying start and end times.


Requirements

We are looking for a personable, guest-centric, and positive individual who loves interacting with others, speaking with guests, and solving problems creatively. The ideal candidate will have:




  • Demonstrated experience working in hotels, restaurants, or other customer-facing hospitality, service, and/or customer experience roles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong desire to "get it done" for our guests.
  • Strong computer literacy and writing skills, with comfort switching between multiple desktop and mobile applications.
  • Organized, hardworking, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Flexible schedule and open to working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Proficiency in languages other than English is a plus.
  • This role requires regular access to a reliable smartphone for work purposes.
