Acquired in 2019 by Welcome to the Jungle, the company thrived, had a stop during covid, and restarted with a new team in 2024.
Thanks to its late co-founders: Welcome to the Jungle and Platform.sh, today, dotConferences is an independent company set to continue the adventure with a new phase of growth.
Key figures: 7 tech conferences per year at max speed, 50% international audience, 50% BtoB sales, up to 3500 attendees over 2 days.
Context of the recruitment: For its next phase of growth, the company is looking for its next Head of Sales, part of the 4 structural divisions of the company (Editorial, Sales, Marketing and Events).

As Head of Sales, you will be a leader developing a successful and profitable business. With the help of past and existing partnerships and a strong proven offer, you will build a plan to get new ones and pave the way for growth. You are fully in charge of the commercial growth of dotConferences, from strategy to execution.
As a senior business leader driving pivotal company’s business, the Head of Sales acts as a role model towards the partnership portfolio by promoting dotConferences’ vision and values.
The Head of Sales will report to the CEO, with a key role in the strategic committee of the company.
Responsibilities:
Your role will evolve around five pillars:
Strategy:
- Building the 360 3-year commercial plan
- Developing a vision for the partnership business.
- Perfecting the offer and leading the B2B go-to-market.
Business and Territory Management:
- Defining territories for both hunting and farming.
- Driving the revenue strategy growth for each event.
- Ensuring existing partners satisfaction and driving ROI.
Portfolio growth:
- Reactivating past partnerships.
- Identifying and convincing new companies to partner.
- Expanding the activity while ensuring high quality relationships.
- Creating close relationships to identify upsell opportunities.
- Identifying new personas and key stakeholders.
Innovation:
- Developing new offers/packages.
- Launching new forms of engagement (dinners, partner events…)
- Launching new territories/countries liaising with company strategy
Leading a team:
- Working with a set of external partners (lead gen agencies for ex.)
- Working with team spirit at heart with the rest of the dot team.
- Growing the business to gather the first pillars of a future sales team.
- Balancing great results and a healthy culture.
Localization:
Paris, Welcome to the Jungle office (8 rue Saint Fiacre, 75002, Paris). Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days working from home (flexible model / depending on the activity).
Compensation:
- Salary: 90K€ package (60K€ fixed, 30K€ variable). Uncapped, with the opportunity to go above 100% of the objectives.
- Equity: % of actions of the company.

- Significant experience: having achieved high levels of performance, dealing with complexity, working in an international environment, event/conferences partnership sales or tech industry is a plus.
