About the Team

The Digital Workplace Services division empowers Amadeus to excel by equipping our users with highly productive, streamlined, and effective collaborative solutions. We are part of the Digital Transformation Services unit under the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Amadeus.

The Digital Workplace Services (DWS) organization primarily focuses on enhancing collaboration, productivity, security, and cloud solutions.

Within DWS, the Programs and Project Management team (PPM) delivers essential services across DWS teams, including:

  • Project and program management for DWS initiatives
  • Digital Management Office (DMO) oversight, including budget governance, financial tracking, portfolio management, OKR governance, and change management services
  • Security coordination across DWS teams

Main Responsibilities

As a Manager, Programs and Projects within Digital Workplace Services (DWS), you will guide and mentor a team of professionals in managing intricate programs and projects pertinent to the DWS organization.

Your responsibilities will encompass team leadership, including setting objectives, facilitating career development, and managing team capacity. Occasionally, you may also be tasked with leading an initiative directly. You will collaborate closely with other DWS teams to address their service needs, including reviewing priorities, managing capacity, and overseeing execution.

  • Lead the strategic planning and implementation of various projects and programs, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
  • Manage a team of seasoned project and program managers to achieve DWS goals
  • Engage with cross-functional teams, including Security, Network, Cloud, and Finance
  • Establish and enforce best practices and standards for project and program management
  • Work with vendors and service providers to utilize their expertise and resources for project and program delivery
  • Prioritize projects based on business value and resource impact
  • Oversee program management activities for specific initiatives as needed
  • Contribute to the Agile transformation program within the organization

As a People Manager, You Will

  • Support, guide, and inspire team members in their roles
  • Set and monitor individual objectives aligned with organizational goals
  • Manage administrative functions related to the department
  • Ensure timely communication of organizational updates to team members
  • Conduct annual performance reviews and provide input for salary evaluations
  • Monitor team member development through ongoing needs assessments
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection of team candidates
  • Be accountable for the performance and outcomes of the project and program management team within the CIO office and other stakeholders
  • Report on team activities, plans, and risks to senior management
  • Develop strategies to address resource and operational challenges
  • Propose alternatives, improvements, and new methodologies in processes and operations
  • Make decisions guided by established policies and business plans

About Our Ideal Candidate

  • Extensive experience and knowledge in program and project management to effectively support team members
  • Familiarity with digital projects and/or Agile project management is advantageous
  • Demonstrated team management abilities, including emotional intelligence and coaching skills
  • Professional proficiency in English
