Sales Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Development Engineer to drive business pipeline growth and contribute to the success of our dynamic team in Munich. As a Sales Development Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving business pipeline growth by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Business Development, Marketing, and R&D, to research and understand different industries and personas. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Daily customer interaction around leads or prospecting to enhance pipeline and new contact generation for relevant accounts.
  • Closely collaborating with Sales Account Managers, Marketing, and Business Development teams.
  • Developing specialized knowledge in customer applications, trends, and industries.
  • Proposing and implementing demand generation strategies based on industry and account insights.
  • Reporting and forecasting business impact.
  • Defining and implementing prospecting activities with a strong emphasis on business impact.
  • Connecting Emerson's value proposition to both new and existing contacts.
  • Providing coaching and mentorship within the Global Sales Development team.
  • Contributing thought leadership and sharing lessons learned with the Global Sales & Marketing Team.
  • Collaborating with leadership to shape the future strategy of the Global Sales Development team.

You will need to have an Engineering or MBA background, excellent proficiency in English, sales experience, and/or industry experience in Test for Aerospace Defence, Semiconductor, or Transportation. A genuine desire to accelerate Emerson's business growth is essential. Proactive, ownership-driven, creative, flexible, strategic thinkers, and hands-on 'doer' approaches are highly valued. German or French language capabilities, a proven track record in defining strategy for demand generation, and experience with Emerson's Test & Measurement Offerings are preferred qualifications.
