The fashion sector contributes significantly to global greenhouse gas emissions, accounting for around 5%. Increasingly, businesses are turning to Carbon Management Platforms to assess and formulate reduction strategies. However, many of these platforms are generic and not specifically designed for the fashion industry. Fashion companies require in-depth insights into the effects of materials, production methods, and the overall environmental impact of their products.
This is the motivation behind the creation of Carbonfact, the sole Carbon Management Platform focused exclusively on the textile and fashion sector. Our platform streamlines life-cycle assessments at the product level, allowing brands to achieve a detailed understanding of their Scope 3 emissions and model product-level changes in relation to their broader environmental goals. Numerous brands and fashion groups globally are leveraging Carbonfact.

Design Challenges
The design domain presents numerous intriguing challenges. The realm of Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) is highly intricate, and our clients appreciate our ability to simplify it. We strive to create intuitive and aesthetically pleasing solutions that yield tangible results.
We maintain frequent communication with our clients, ensuring a short and iterative feedback loop.
Our workflow is structured around the ShapeUp methodology, allowing us to refine our ideas before implementation. We invest time in determining which features to develop next.
Our Operational Framework
We operate as a hybrid and international organization, with part of the team convening regularly in our office while others work remotely. We prioritize asynchronous and written communication for knowledge sharing and decision-making, reserving synchronous interactions for problem-solving and brainstorming sessions.
We complement this with three annual retreats, bringing the entire team together to strengthen bonds and tackle upcoming challenges.

Your Role
You will spearhead our design initiatives, collaborating closely with the Co-founder & CPO, the head of Marketing & Product Marketing, and our engineering team.
Responsibilities Include:
- User Research: Engage in Sales calls or Customer Success meetings to gather insights. Summarize and prioritize current challenges and needs.
- Shape: Create low-fidelity sketches to propose various solutions and gather feedback from other teams.
- Build with Taste: Design elegant user flows in Figma, ensuring high-quality standards. Collaborate with engineers to deliver initial versions to our clients.
Desired Qualifications
We seek a design leader capable of transforming raw customer ideas into elegant solutions while collaborating with engineers for implementation.
Key Attributes:
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years in a relevant field, preferably within a B2B environment.
- Design Excellence: A strong portfolio showcasing your work.
- Customer Focus: Ability to align solutions with customer needs.
- Communication Skills: Proficiency in both French and English, with excellent written communication abilities.
- Location: Based in Paris.
Work Environment and Compensation
Compensation is determined through an internal grid shared with employees, based on position, track record, and experience. Your level will be assessed at hiring, with potential for promotion based on performance and impact.
For this role, expect a salary range of €60k to €80k, along with significant equity and comprehensive health insurance coverage.
