Job Description

Context and Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be part of a research team at INRIA, working on a PhD project focused on the development of robust and agile transportation systems for cable-suspended loads using multi-drone systems.

Key Activities

  • Perception and Localization: The candidate will work on developing perception and localization algorithms for multi-drone systems, enabling them to accurately track the relative positions between drones, the suspended platform, and the overall system position.
  • Robust and Online Motion Generation: The PhD researcher will focus on developing robust and online motion generation techniques for cable-suspended multi-drone systems, taking into account constraints related to perception, actuation, geometry, and stability.
  • Human-Multi-Drone Interaction: The candidate will work on developing shared control techniques to enable human operators to effectively interact with the multi-drone system, providing intuitive high-level commands that will be processed by the group autonomy to produce a feasible motion plan.
