Overview:

Startups, which are predominantly cloud-native, represent a vital and expanding segment of AWS's customer base.

Understanding Startups:
Startups have distinct requirements, priorities, and growth paths that set them apart from conventional enterprises. This necessitates tailored engagement strategies and sales approaches to effectively attract, nurture, and retain these customers on the AWS platform over the long term.

Role Responsibilities:
As a Startup Account Executive, your primary focus will be on identifying and engaging high-potential Generative AI startups. You will be instrumental in driving intricate engagements and transactions that foster customer growth and satisfaction.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing relationships with Generative AI customers, including identification and acquisition.
  • Articulating compelling value propositions around AWS services to stand out in a competitive market.
  • Shaping commercial deals, including pricing, negotiation, and closure.
  • Handling complex objections and securing necessary approvals.
  • Driving pipeline development and deal progression across a designated territory of Generative AI clients.
  • Increasing revenue and market share within a specific industry vertical.
  • Meeting or surpassing revenue and deal targets.
  • Creating and executing a comprehensive account plan to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Accelerating customer adoption of AWS Generative AI services.
  • Maintaining a robust sales pipeline.
  • Collaborating with partners to enhance reach and drive adoption.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in Generative AI and AIML services, particularly in commercial transactions.
  • Background in IT/Tech/Cloud sales with a proven record of closing new business.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving customer growth and quota fulfillment in IT sales.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to change.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience selling cloud solutions within a technology company.
  • Understanding of core cloud computing concepts, including compute, storage, and machine learning.
  • Technical or educational background in engineering or computer science.
  • Experience working with or selling to technology startups.
