Small Meetings Sales Manager

Join the Fairmont Olympic Hotel Seattle team as a Small Meetings Sales Manager and be part of a historic landmark in the heart of Seattle.
As a Small Meetings Sales Manager, you will be responsible for booking profitable group business from key accounts, key prospects, and other active accounts in the assigned regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively managing small group sales leads with peak between 8-60 room nights.
- Exceeding personal sales goals, monthly, quarterly, annually, through account development and maintenance.
- Scheduling effective sales calls and appointments within assigned markets, participating in prescribed training and special projects, assisting in the development and training of sales coordinators, collecting market and competitive intelligence to assess and implement strategy and long-term goals.
- Consistently offering prompt professional, engaging, and friendly service.
- Responsibilities including quoting rates and negotiating group room contracts within established parameters, keeping accurate records of potential customers and following through on all potential business.
- Coordinating with Convention Services and Catering and/or other hotel departments to ensure delivery of hotel's promised services.
- Utilizing Opera Sales and Catering System to track, solicit, book, and follow-up accounts and preparing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required.
- Developing lead sources and rapport with key personnel at Convention and Visitors Bureau, Industry Partners, and Fairmont Global Sales Offices.
- Maintaining active membership in industry-related organizations and associations pertaining to the specific market.
- Supporting goals, objectives, and philosophies of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and the Fairmont Olympic Hotel Seattle.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to legally work in the US without restriction now or in the future.
- Bachelor's degree, in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience as a Group Sales role in a luxury hotel environment.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and motivating a high-performing sales team.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Deep understanding of the group sales process, market dynamics, and customer requirements in the luxury hospitality sector.
- Ability to travel as needed and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant sales management tools.
- Excellent time management skills to handle last-minute requests/work with short turnaround times.
- Must hold valid USA work authorization.
