This division thrives on innovation, enhancing production infrastructures and expanding existing operations with specialized expertise in assembly, piping, metal structures, and logistics.
Role Overview
Ponticelli Frères, a globally recognized industrial group serving the energy sector, is seeking a Deputy Project Manager for Operations within its International Division.
As we enhance our Project Management Office for international initiatives, the Deputy Project Manager will play a crucial role in:
- Ensuring the effective implementation of Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment (QSSE) policies within their scope;
- Maintaining the company's contractual obligations to clients, service providers, and subcontractors;
- Achieving the performance and profitability targets set by Ponticelli Frères.
Main Responsibilities
Project Management
- Prepare project proposals in alignment with management;
- Engage in contract or order evaluations;
- Monitor project budgets and all associated expenses;
- Assess project profitability continuously and address any discrepancies;
- Communicate any technical or progress issues to the Project Manager;
- Approve and submit additional work requests through the Project Manager;
- Facilitate customer invoicing in collaboration with the Project Manager;
- Contribute to project reporting on safety, quality, cost, and scheduling.
Project Execution
- Participate in client engagement and internal meetings;
- Oversee work preparation and supervision meetings;
- Communicate project objectives (safety, quality, cost, schedule);
- Evaluate physical progress, ensure adherence to timelines, and recommend corrective actions as necessary;
- Identify and confirm requirements for personnel, equipment, subcontracting, and procurement;
- Draft tenders and purchase orders;
- Recommend subcontractors and monitor their work;
- Oversee purchase orders from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring invoicing accuracy;
- Ensure the technical and administrative integrity of documentation;
- Facilitate the resolution of any outstanding issues and ensure final acceptance;
- Engage in project feedback sessions;
- Conduct supplier evaluations post-project;
- Prepare the final project report.
Qualifications
A Master's degree in engineering with 3 to 5 years of project management experience in the oil industry or a related field is required. Proficiency in English is essential, along with advanced skills in MS Office. Candidates should possess strong decision-making and leadership abilities, as well as effective time management and organizational skills. Travel to project locations may be necessary.
