About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join our Amazon EU SARL (FR) - D69 team. As a key member of our Emerging Marketing team, you will be responsible for driving engagement and building new relationships with business partners within the affiliate publishing space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Building and maintaining a pipeline of prospective leads, prioritizing targets to strike a balance between short- and long-term growth requirements.
  • Leading efforts on generating and expanding relationships with key partners in the affiliate/publishing space.
  • Personally leading key business development activities, from the exploratory phase to the launch and expansion of partnerships.
  • Contributing to the development of our tools, processes, and best practices.
  • Representing Amazon holistically in front of key partners, involving other Amazon teams as necessary.
  • Controlling marketing spend and improving efficacy and efficiency.
  • Analysing and improving business results, reporting to senior management and communicating closely with various internal stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in Business Development.
  • Fluency in both English and French.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Economics, Arts, or Science.
  • Significant and relevant experience leading Sales & Marketing activities in the digital and/or e-commerce sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to source, launch, and expand successful partnerships.
  • Excellent analytical skills - ability to derive actionable conclusions from large data sets and turn them into potential partnerships.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills - ability to articulate ideas and persuade stakeholders.

  • Bias towards data-based decision making.
  • Ability to quickly build credibility with external partners and internal Amazon stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with global technology and business teams.
  • Ability to understand global e-commerce trends and translate them into business opportunities.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and an ability to manage multiple responsibilities in parallel.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to roll up sleeves and execute to get the job done.
  • Experience in working in an ambiguous environment with changing priorities.
