Avionics Systems Architect for Next-Gen Products

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking an Avionics Network Architect (f/m) to be part of our Avionics Products Development division.
You will collaborate with a dedicated team of approximately 15 professionals based in Toulouse, specializing in the Avionics & Simulation Domain, which serves as both an internal supplier for Airbus avionics equipment and a center of expertise.
The current focus is on developing cutting-edge computers aligned with product line strategies, while also supporting existing avionics solutions and preparing for future innovations in avionics technology.
In addition to product development, we are redefining our operational methodologies to better integrate new technologies and enhance efficiency.

Your Responsibilities:
In this dynamic and stimulating environment, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of avionics products through the following tasks:
- Identify essential technologies for future product development;
- Engage in benchmarking with other avionics suppliers;
- Develop a roadmap for integrating new technologies into avionics products;
- Unite specialists and experts around strategic design goals;
- Design innovative onboard computers based on defined needs, including:
- Establishing product requirements (performance, safety, quality, industrial, and environmental standards)
- Leading trade-off discussions to determine optimal architecture with hardware and software architects;
- Allocating product requirements to hardware, software, and necessary resources (e.g., testing, production);
- Contributing to safety analyses and demonstrations for flight testing;
- Share acquired knowledge across Airbus;
- Support the domain strategy to maintain Airbus as the 'Chamber of Reference';

Your Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with electronic devices at both equipment and system levels, with proven expertise in hardware and software;
- Experience in development involving FPGA, microprocessors, electronic boards, and embedded critical software;
- Strong understanding of aeronautical considerations such as safety, reliability, customer value, and certification standards (e.g., ARP4754, ARP5761, DO178, DO254, DO160);
- Desire to promote and support innovation by proposing new visions and products;
- Excellent analytical and synthesis skills;
- Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities;
- Proficiency in both French and English is required.
Salary Information:
Salary range based on the required profile: €55,000 to €65,000 per year (including a variable component based on performance). This information is provided as a guideline.
