Job Overview:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Network Architect for Avionics Systems (f/m) to enhance our Avionics Product Development division located in Toulouse, France.

You will be part of a dedicated team of approximately 15 professionals based in Toulouse, specializing in the Avionics & Simulation Domain, which serves as both an internal supplier for Airbus avionics equipment and a center of expertise.

The current focus is on the creation of several innovative computing solutions aligned with our product line strategy, utilizing both hardware and software components, while also maintaining existing avionics systems and preparing for future advancements in avionics technology.

In conjunction with product development, we are also redefining our operational methodologies to adapt to emerging technologies and enhance efficiency.

Your Responsibilities:

In this dynamic and challenging role, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of avionics products through the following responsibilities:

  • Identify essential technologies for the advancement of our products;
  • Engage in benchmarking activities with other avionics suppliers;
  • Develop a technology roadmap for avionics products;
  • Unite specialists and experts around strategic design goals;
  • Design new innovative onboard computers based on defined needs through:

- Specification of product requirements (including performance, safety, quality, industrial, and environmental considerations)

- Facilitating trade-off discussions to select optimal architecture with hardware and software architects;

- Assigning product requirements to hardware, software, and necessary resources (e.g., testing, production);

- Contributing to safety analysis and validation for flight tests;

  • Share acquired knowledge across Airbus;
  • Support the domain strategy to maintain Airbus as the 'Chamber of Reference';

If you are a dedicated and enthusiastic Technologist, with expertise in Electronics and Software, eager to expand your knowledge in this field, this position is tailored for you.

Your Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with electronic devices at both equipment and system levels, demonstrating proficiency in both hardware and software;
  • Experience in development areas such as FPGA, microprocessors, electronic boards, and embedded critical software;
  • Strong understanding of aeronautical considerations such as safety, reliability, customer value, and certification standards (e.g., ARP4754, ARP5761, DO178, DO254, DO160, etc.);
  • Desire to promote and support innovation, proposing new visions and products;
  • Excellent analytical and synthesis skills;
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities;
  • Proficiency in both French and English is required.

Compensation:

Salary range based on the required profile: €55,000 to €65,000 per year (including a variable component based on performance). This information is provided as a guideline.
