Job Overview:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Avionics Network Architect (f/m) to enhance our Avionics Products Development division.

You will be part of a skilled team of approximately 15 professionals, situated within the Avionics & Simulation Domain, which serves as both an internal supplier of avionics equipment and a center of expertise.

This role involves the development of innovative computing solutions aligned with product line strategies, while also supporting existing avionics systems and preparing for future advancements in avionics technology.

Your Responsibilities:

In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for:

  • Defining and selecting network systems at the system level.
  • Developing and implementing new communication protocols and messaging principles in accordance with network specifications.
  • Supporting legacy communication systems.

You will collaborate closely with system designers from the Design Office to define and select network systems. Additionally, you will engage with academic partners to validate network performance and resilience.

New communication protocols will be based on AFDX and Ethernet technologies, with a focus on ensuring their reliability and efficient utilization through:

  • Establishing strategies to validate their reliability.
  • Defining messaging principles for functions utilizing new communication protocols.
  • Monitoring their development and contributing to verification and validation activities.
  • Participating in safety analysis and certification demonstrations.
  • Defining a roadmap for new communication protocols.
  • Auditing technical solutions as requested by the Design Office.

For legacy communication systems, your objectives will include:

  • Monitoring the performance of existing systems.
  • Leading problem analysis for legacy systems.
  • Conducting trade-off analyses to determine optimal solutions for performance improvements.
  • Contributing to the roadmap for legacy systems.

Your Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with legacy communication systems.
  • Strong background in Ethernet or AFDX technologies.
  • Solid understanding of aeronautical standards related to safety, reliability, and certification.
  • Proficient modeling and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with experience interfacing with diverse stakeholders.
  • Fluency in French and English is required.

Salary Information:

The salary range for this position is between 55K€ and 65K€ per year, including a performance-based variable component.
