Job Overview

Purpose of the Role:

As a pivotal player in the Nourish Business Unit at International Flavors & Fragrances, you will oversee substantial sales figures in the French market. Reporting directly to the Category Sales Leader for France, your primary responsibility will be to cultivate and maintain robust partnerships with key accounts within the food sector, driving profitable sales growth by aligning our offerings with their requirements.

Key Responsibilities


• Achieve or surpass financial targets; maintain a focus on results (both top and bottom line).

• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for designated clients, advocating for their interests within IFF.

• Comprehend customer strategies, brand positioning, potential growth areas, and how IFF can add value to their operations.

• Gain in-depth knowledge of IFF's organizational structure, capabilities, proprietary technologies, and product/service offerings.

• Establish IFF as a trusted collaborator by co-developing compelling value propositions that meet client needs.

• Identify customer requirements that align with IFF's solutions.

• Optimize profit opportunities within commercial parameters (e.g., pricing strategies).

• Develop, present, and effectively implement strategic account plans that align with Global, Regional, and Sub-Regional business goals, ensuring they remain relevant and updated.

• Act as the primary liaison for clients, enhancing and preserving IFF's reputation and image. Foster deep relationships with customers at all levels through extensive networking and exceptional customer service.

• Discover and create new business opportunities for IFF, devising and executing strategies to drive new sales.

• Build and maintain a healthy project pipeline to ensure sustainable business growth.

• Responsible for accurate sales forecasting and project status updates.

• Prepare sales reports and document new business activities for IFF management.

• Knowledge of the food and ingredients sectors (including hydrocolloids, plant-based proteins, sweeteners, emulsifiers, enzymes), industry trends, and technology, with a passion for food. Experience in the bakery sector is a plus.

• Lead virtual teams through engagement, active listening, mentoring, and development.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English, along with strong presentation capabilities.

• Charismatic, confident, enthusiastic, and dynamic personality.

• Emotionally intelligent professional capable of building trust through reliable performance.

• Proficient in IT and capable of leveraging data analytics to enhance commercial performance and customer engagement.

Qualifications


• Minimum of 7 years of sales experience, preferably in a business-to-business context within the food industry.

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Business Management, Sales, or Marketing.
